Texas TV Station Congratulates Jimmie Johnson On Last Year’s Daytona Win (UPDATE: Add Fox News And ESPN)

Rain and tornado warnings delayed this year’s Daytona 500, forcing Fox to re-air last year’s race to fill time. Despite the crawl at the bottom of the screen, some people did not catch on that this race was a year old, but you can always find a rube online. But an ABC TV affiliate out of Abilene, Texas? They quickly deleted the tweets, but nothing fully disappears from the internet.

UPDATE: According to Deadspin, ESPN’s women’s sports division, espnW, tweeted updates about Danica Patrick sitting on the pole and running up front, and congratulations for finishing 10th. And if you think that’s a bad mistake, what if it happened in the same company: Fox News tweeted congrats to Johnson, too. This year’s 500 restarted after a six hour delay around 8:30pm ET.
