Teller From Penn & Teller Pulls Off Impossible Trick, Wins In Court

penn_jillette_teller_h_2014Teller from Penn & Teller has successfully sued a Belgium magician for copying one of his tricks, even though magic tricks can’t be copyrighted. However, pantomimes are copyrightable. A federal judge ruled that Teller’s trick is mainly a pantomime and similar enough to what the other magician did, to rule in his favor. Teller was said to be thrilled over the verdict, but oddly enough, made no comment.
