Dave Chappelle Does a Surprise Guest Spot at Brand New Comedy Store Show

Last night The Mello Comedic Show had it's opening night and the crowd was in for an extraordinary treat. Not only was there an incredible line up including host Donnell Rawlings, Harland Williams, Sydney Castillo, Roy Wood Jr., Tiffany Haddish, and Jesus Trejo, and the 300 fans who turned up for the show also had a surprise visit from comedy legend Dave Chappelle!

Seth Meyers To Headline Gilda’s Laughfest 2016

This morning producers announced the lineup for the Sixth Annual annual Gilda's Laughfest. Seth Meyers, Kathy Griffin, Marlon Wayans, Anjelah Johnson and Roy Wood Jr. will headline the 2016 festival along with performances from Jim Norton, Bridget Everett, Denver's own Grawlix (which features Ben Roy, Andrew Orvedahl and Adam Cayton-Holland), Ron Funches, Undateable's Chris D’Elia, Bert Kreischer, Heather McDonald, and Sebastian Maniscalco.

I finally got the opportunity to sit down with Roy Wood Jr. to talk about his gig as a correspondent on The Daily Show. We’ve been passing each other like ships in the night because we’re both always running off someplace, so before he took the stage to headline Gotham Comedy Club over the holiday weekend we sat down in the green room to chat. Enjoying the New York Comedy Festival: The Definitive Guide

We cover the country, but New York's our home, so it's an exciting week when the New York Comedy Festival comes around. It's unlike any other festival in the country. It's gigantic, but it's also decidedly unfestival-like because it's spread out through the entire city without a central focal point. Any week of the year there is a massive festival-worthy list of great comedy happening in New York City so by the time you add in a few extra headlining events, what you really have is a gigantic list of impossible choices and tough decisions.
