Comedy legends Steve Martin and Martin Short went low tech to announce they taped a special for Netflix based on their ongoing tour, Steve Martin and Martin Short: An Evening You Will Forget For The Rest Of Your Life. The hour will air globally on Netflix later in 2018.
The special was taped at the Peace Center in Greenville, South Carolina during Short and Martin’s current national tour. It features new material presented in a variety of musical sketches and conversations about their iconic careers, most memorable encounters, and of course, their legendary lives in show-business and stand-up.
Martin and Martin, or Martin and Short, are both legendary comedians who have inspired generations of performers, and the chance to see them perform again on television is pretty exciting. The two man show features music from Grammy Award-winning bluegrass band The Steep Canyon Rangers and renowned jazz pianist and Jimmy Kimmel Live band member, Jeff Babko.
Steve Martin and Martin Short: An Evening You Will Forget For The Rest Of Your Life was directed by Marcus Raboy and Executive Producers include Steve Martin, Martin Short, Lorne Michaels, Erin David and Marc Gurvitz.
Okey dokey. Here’s a video with Marty and me talking about our new Netflix special coming this summer! Now we’re like Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle except for the pay! pic.twitter.com/zd4hd1kQ74
