Yes, you read that right. According to author Jim Miller, Smith’s new ESPN contract will net him at least $3.1M a year. Russell Wilson, who’s going after his second Super Bowl title, makes only $817k. You could argue whether or not three million is worth screaming at a desk about sports every morning, but why not the NFL? A defending Super Bowl champ taking hits for nineteen games can’t even break a million?
