Four great comics have dates for their brand new Comedy Central Half Hour specials. Beth Stelling, Joe List, Sam Morril and Randy Liedtke are the next four comics to air on Comedy Central’s “Half Hour” Series.
Liedtke and Stelling’s specials will air on Saturday, October 10th at midnight and midnight-thirty. Both are great up and coming performers. Liedtke was named one of Montreal’s New Faces in 2014 at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, and was on Last Comic Standing in 2014. He’s also very strange. He went viral a few years back when he tried to get himself pulled over by driving around talking on what appeared to be an iPhone, but was actually just a fresh baked cookie. His special has plenty more of his very original and sometimes odd bits, including one about a phone call with his ventriloquist dummy.
Stelling is a comedy club and festival favorite, and made our 2014 list of 13 amazing comedians under the age of 30. She got her start in Chicago, then moved to LA, and was picked by Patton Oswalt as one of the best up and coming comics. She’s been on the Pete Holmes Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, @midnight and you will love her embarrassing stories.
Two weeks later, tune in on October 24 to two of our favorite comics, Sam Morril and Joe List. Both appeared on Last Comic Standing this year and both were cut way before their time. They are two of the funniest stand ups performing today, and having their half hours appear back to back is a definite sign that you should plan to stay home that night or at least get home early.
All the 2015 Comedy Central Half Hour specials were filmed at The Royale in Boston. The fourteen-episode season offered sets from comedians Tone Bell, Michelle Buteau, Sean Donnelly, Phil Hanley, Randy Liedtke, Joe List, Sam Morril, Barry Rothbart, Andrew Santino, Stelling, Liza Treyger, Wheelan, Woodhull and Hampton Yount.
