Smog Is Choking Citizens of Singapore
A thick haze of pollution has settled over the nation of Singapore, caused by rampant forest fires in nearby Indonesia. The Pollution Standard Index read 401 at 4:00 GMT today, the highest in the country’s history. Chewing gum was banned in Singapore in 2004 because people did not dispose of it properly– forest fire smoke is next.
