Skankfest South Bringing Tremendous Lineup to Houston This Fall
After multiple postponements of the inaugural Skankfest South, the festival’s organizers have finally announced the lineup for this November’s three day festival.
Skankfest, a celebration of freedom of expression in comedy and podcasting, is leaving NYC for the first time ever and taking the show on the road for Skankfest South. The festival stands out from other comedy weeks for a fierce dedication to funny over all other considerations. No one is cancelled unless they’re not funny enough to be invited to attend in the first place. The fests organizers go to great lengths to make sure Skankfest badge holders have a one of a kind experience full of surprises and events that you cannot find anywhere else. Rough around the edges, stripped of all bells and whistles, Skankfest is big names, its up and comers, its marginalized acts, its superstars all rolled together with fans who love to laugh and have a great time, without egos or divas. It’s one big party with comedy as the central theme.
Depraved Laughter, in association with the Legion of Skanks, GaS Digital and Yo Kratom, is proud (and relieved) to announce the biggest comedy festival that the city of Houston has ever seen. Coming November 5th through the 7th, more than 130 performers and dozens of podcasts will perform. Gilbert Gottfried, Jessica Kirson, Ari Shaffir, Doug Stanhope, Tim Dillon, Bonnie McFarlane, Robert Kelly, Big Jay Oakerson, Bob Saget, Adrienne Iapalucci, Dan Soder, Eleanor Kerrigan, Mark Normand, Rich Vos, Shane Gillis, Joe List, Mike Vecchione, Joe DeRosa, Kerryn Feehan, Luis J. Gomez, Dave Smith and Eddie Pepitone are just a few of the performers who have already committed to the Houston event.
Tickets will be on sale on Monday, July 12th at 8am at skankfest.net. There will be a limited amount of 3 Day and Single Day passes available for purchase. Follow @skankfestnyc on Instagram for ticket announcements, trailers, line up updates, contests, giveaways, and memories of festivals past!
