Skankfest Returns to NYC; Tickets Available for Pre-Sale Monday

This year, when we sat down to choose who the innovators of comedy in 2016 were, there was no question that the creators and producers of New York’s inaugural Skankfest would be a part of that list.  Luis J. Gomez, Christine Marie Evans and Rebecca Trent and everyone who worked on Skankfest created something really special in 2016 and they are already hard at work putting together Skankfest 2017. If you missed last year’s fest, you missed New York’s rawest comedy festival, and possibly the only one that has a feeling of community and cohesiveness.  You also missed some really must-see shows, like Doug Stanhope’s podcast with 9 rotating guests, Naked Roast Battle that included a naked host, naked battlers, and naked judges, Ha! The Musical (the only show to feature a full roster of singing and dancing stand up comedians), packed out shows with Jeff Ross, Todd Glass, Michael Che, Robert Kelly, Sal Vulcano, Rich Vos, Bonnie McFarlane, a mash up show with Ron Bennington and Big Jay Oakerson bringing down the house- and that’s only a few of the highlights. Comics and fans hung out together for two days straight, drinking, getting stoned, and getting tattoos together. There is no other festival like it in New York or anywhere else.

This year the festival’s organizers have big plans to amp up the fest so save these dates- Friday, June 23 through Sunday, June 25. VIP ALL ACCESS passes go on sale on Monday, and you’ll want to grab your tickets now and take advantage of the deal.  Tickets will be $80 for pre-sale VIP ALL ACCESS passes which will get you into the Skankfest weekend plus the kick-off party Friday night and “Skank Week” which pass holders will have access to a number of different venues around the city the week leading up to Skankfest.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale Monday March 20th.  Go to creeklic.com for tickets Monday @ 9am ET.   There’s no reason to wait.

See you at Skankfest!
