Simpsons World Is Bringing Everything Simpsons On Line
The new “Simpsons World” online experience is now available from FX Networks. It’s the Simpsons site you’ve always wanted. With over 25 years of episodes to build from, Simpsons World is the place for everything dealing with Springfield’s first family. It may be late in the series to be starting such an ambitious project, but its a big leap in bridging television with the digital world.
Creators are calling Simpsons World the nerve center for fans of The Simpsons. Think of it like Willy Wonka’s chocolate room, but for The Simpsons and it’s on the internet so you don’t need a ticket. The big ticket item here, is access to every single episode of the first 25 seasons of The Simpsons. So if you missed out on that giant August Simpson-a-thon, now you can create your own Simpsons Every Single Episode Ever, any time you want, or just catch the one you missed. That’s 552 episodes to start with and new shows will be added the day after each one airs on FOX. There’s huge catalog of clips and little factoids to mess around with.
“Everything Simpsons” also has a feed to all Simpsons news, including casting updates, Simpsons trivia facts and social media announcements. “The Simpsons Heartbeat” is an organizer which categorizes Simpsons episodes by popularity. Plus, there’s a comprehensive search function that lets fans search from over 3000 clips by Simpsons character name and guest stars.
Chuck Saftler, President of Program Strategy and COO for FX Networks said, “We are thrilled to offer Simpsons fans a rich and immersive experience unlike any other”.
Simpsons showrunner Al Jean said, “Hello ‘Simpsons World,’ goodbye free time! Seriously”.
Homer Simpson said, “D’oh!”
Simpsons World will be available from FX Networks at SimpsonsWorld.com but you will need to be an FXX subscriber to access it. Also on the FXNOW app for iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, Xbox One, Xbox 360, AppleTV, and Samsung Smart TVs.
FXX celebrated the arrival of all episodes of The Simpsons on their network with a 12 day, 552 episode marathon of the series including The Simpsons Movie back in August.
