Every year, Seth Rogen throws a big charity variety event to benefit Alzheimer’s Research. It’s called Hilarity for Charity and this year will be the fourth year of the big event.  Rogen was inspired to get involved after learning that his mother in law suffers from early onset Alzheimers. Past events included performances and appearances by Paul Rudd, Bruno Mars, Tenacious D, Patton Oswalt, Aziz Ansari, Judd Apatow, The Backstreet Boys, Samuel L. Jackson, Kevin Hart, Mindy Kaling and others.

Friday night on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon Rogen told the audience that this year’s event will be James Franco’s Bar Mitzvah.  Rogen said they’re going all in, hiring a rabbi and everything, and like every other rich 13 year old boy, Franco will have a superstar celebrity entertaining at the reception. Miley Cyrus is headlining. Rogen said Franco wasn’t up for a circumcision, so instead they’re going the whole ‘become a man’ thing.

Comedy! Music! Food! Alcohol! Mazel Tov! The event goes down on October 17th at the Hollywood Palladium.  Unlike your own bar mitzvah, tickets are sold out but you can still donate and get involved at hilarityforcharity.org.
