Scott Aukerman and Judd Apatow Say Goodbye To Reggie Watts On Thursday

Reggie Watts is leaving ‘Comedy Bang! Bang!” this week. After 70 unforgettable episodes, he is leaving the show to focus on his new role as bandleader on The Late Late Show with James Corden on CBS. On Thursday Watts will make his last appearance on the popular IFC series, and when he wraps his final episode, Judd Apatow will be on hand to help Scott Aukerman bid farewell to the comedian, musician, and Bang! Bang! staple. The IFC nostalgia-fest will feature Apatow leading Aukerman down memory lane of Watts’ tenure on the show.
Rapper and actor Kid Cudi, who has appeared on Fox’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine, is replacing Watts as the ‘Comedy Bang! Bang!’ musical star.
As Watts takes his talents to CBS, let’s take a look at one installment of the great recurring segment from Comedy Bang! Bang!, “Reggie Makes Music,” where he improvises a song with a celebrity. In this clip, Reggie wings a tune with Kid Cudi, the man set to replace him.
Watts also talked about his departure with Scott Aukerman and head writer Neil Campbell on the latest ‘Comedy Bang Bang’ podcast. He also discussed his transition to working with James Corden on the CBS late-night show.
You can of course find Watts leading the band, asking questions and answer them every night at 12:30pm ET on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
