Science And Comedy Meet On The Infinite Monkey Cage U.S. Tour

The BBC’s celebrated science – comedy podcast and radio show, The Infinite Monkey Cage is on tour in America. Hosted by Professor Brian Cox and comedian Robin Ince, the Infinite Monkey Cage has no problem mixing the serious scientific questions of our age with some irreverent humor. Now for the first time, fans in the United States can experience the Infinite Monkey Cage in person during the show’s first American tour.

Brian Cox and Robin Ince play hosts to special guests from the both the worlds of science and comedy. It’s the show that’s not afraid to ask things like “What is death?”, “What was there before the Big Bang?” and “Are pandas overrated?” and laugh while trying to find the answers. Each night on the U.S. tour, the Infinite Monkey Cage will have a different theme for the evening and a great cast of guest commentators at each stop.

See “The Infinite Monkey Cage” tonight in Chicago at the Athaneum Theatre, where the theme will be “Death Rocks: Fossil Records and Other Archaeological Hits” with guests paleontologist Paul Sereno, evolutionary biologist Jerry Coyne, NPR Host Peter Sagal and former SNL cast member Julia Sweeney.

On Thursday, March 12th, IMC comes to the Ricardo Montalban Theater in Los Angeles. The theme for the L.A. show will be “Science Meets Hollywood: Science Fact vs. Science Fiction” with special guests physicist Sean M. Carroll, “Futurama” executive producer and writer for “The Simpsons” David X Cohen along with Joe Rogan, Patton Oswalt and a special appearance by Eric Idle.

“The Infinite Monkey Cage will be in San Francisco on Friday, March 13th. Guests astronomer Seth Shostak, planetary scientist Carolyn Porco, Greg Proops and Paul Provenza will be discussing “UFO’s, Alien Probes and Other Close Encounters”.
