Sarah Silverman Hosts Saturday Night Live Tonight
Sarah Silverman triumphantly returns to Saturday Night Live tonight. Sarah worked on SNL 20 years ago during the ’93 – ’94 season as a writer and featured player. She was let go after that one season without seeing any of her sketches make it to air. In her SNL promos with Taran Killam she’s back with all the confidence in the world and a bad recollection and padded resume of what she accomplished on Saturday Night Live. Her claim that she wrote the 2012 “Californians” sketch doesn’t match up on the SNL timeline.
But she does feel her hosting Saturday Night Live tonight is empowering for women everywhere. She points out that so far, she’s been the only female host in a season that’s only one episode old. Sarah says it’s sad that there hasn’t been a woman hosting this year until her. The number of male hosts during this 40th season is one. Sarah hopes to even up the score for women.
