Sarah Silverman , Fred Armisen, and Others Appear In New Sleater-Kinney Music Video

sleater-kinney

The band Sleater-Kinney is a rock band, featuring Carrie Brownstein from “Portlandia” (guitar and vocals),  Corin Tucker (vocals and guitar) and Janet Weiss (drums).  No, she’s not playing a character and the band doesn’t put birds on things.

To mark the release of their upcoming album, “No Cities To Love”, Sleater-Kinney asked some of their friends to film themselves singing the title track. The band brought in people like Andy Samberg, Fred Armisen, Sarah Silverman, Sarah Silverman’s dog, My Chemical Romance’s Gerard Way, Connie Britton, Miranda July, Norman Reedus, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne and Ellen Page.  Among other things you can see why most comedians are not in bands.

Sleater-Kinney, is currently on tour to support to the new album. A lot of the shows are sold out, but you can always look for tickets online.  “No Cities to Love” from Sleater-Kinney is available next Tuesday, January 20th. Pre-order on iTunes. Also get the album and tour date information at Sleater-Kinney.com.
