Rogen and Efron Coming Back For “Neighbors 2”

There’s going to be more trouble in the neighborhood. Seth Rogen and Zac Efron are doing a sequel to last May’s blockbuster comedy hit, “Neighbors”. Along with Rogen and Efron, Rose Byrne is also returning to co-star as well as writers Andrew Jay Cohen and Brendan O’Brien and director Nick Stoller. The big get for “Neighbors” fans will be if Hannibal Buress returns as Officer Watkins.

If you’re wondering what neighbor trouble Seth Rogen’s character, Mac Radner, could possibly still be having? In the sequel, it has nothing to do with a fraternity moving in next door. This time, it’s a sorority. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Radners have some rowdy sorority sisters moving in and they have to call in Zac Efron’s character, Teddy Sanders to help deal with them.

This is Seth Rogen’s first movie deal since “The Interview” which had its initial release cancelled by Sony after theater chains refused to screen it in December because of threats from the hacker group that attacked and released the studio’s emails. “The Interview” which featured Seth Rogen along with James Franco as Americans recruited to kill North Korea’s Kim Jong Un was eventually released online and On Demand.
