Robert Kelly Developing an Autobiographical Series for FX

Robert Kelly has been killing it on television recently, with showing serious acting skills when guesting on FX’s Louie and as a series regular the short-lived series Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll. But Louis C.K. decided to end his series, and SDRR was canceled after two seasons. But after seeing Kelly’s performances in both we had no doubt he would be back on television soon. Today, Deadline announced that FX is developing a show that would star Kelly, based on his own life experiences.
Kelly has been hinting around about something exciting in the works, but this is the first concrete news we’ve heard about the project. The show will focus on Kelly overcoming various addictions, and struggling with an ongoing food addiction. According to Deadline, the series will address how Bobby’s addictions cause him to lose things in his life, and his decision to make changes and be happier.
The new series, which is not yet titled re-unites him with Denis Leary’s Apostle production company, the same team that Kelly worked with as a series regular on Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll.
