Richie Havens Memorial Held in NYC

Family, friends, and fans gathered at City Winery in Lower Manhattan last night to say goodbye to musician Richie Havens. Havens’ guitar, rings and bracelets were on display while his music played over the speakers, the film ‘Woodstock’ was shown on large screen TVs and attendees shared their favorite stories about the folk icon. Havens passed away on April 22nd from a heart attack. He was 72. It was also announced that a memorial concert will take place, but no firm date has been set.
