Rex Manning Day Was Inspired By The Death of Kurt Cobain

Ethan Embry, one of the stars of the 90s cult classic Empire Records, tweeted out that “The reason we picked April 8th as the day to have the powdered/coifed Rex Manning visit Empire is because Kurt was found on the 8th of April, the day the music of the 90s lost its mascot”. This may be a surprise to some, but the church picked December 25th as Christmas for a very similar reason.
