Check out this great Collectors Weekly article about the shift away from overdecorated restaurants and recounting the history of Cracker Barrel, Fridays and other chains. TGI Fridays is debuting new, streamlined, flairless restaurant designs across the country. They’re doing away with crap on the walls for a more simple, egalitarian look. Some are accusing them of appropriating the Hipster aesthetic to their design. Can’t wait to get an Old Fashioned at the local TGIFs and some artisanal, locally sourced, boneless, frozen, chicken wings.
