Reports: A-Rod To Get Long Suspension

ESPN reports from sources that Major League Baseball will announce a suspension through the 2014 season for Alex Rodriguez on Monday, for his role in the Biogenesis scandal. While twelve other players are expected to be suspended, A-Rod’s comes after a press conference on Friday. After MLB had extended the deadline to discuss a plea deal like Ryan Braun’s, Bud Selig was “furious” when A-Rod said he would not negotiate as his attorneys were doing so. After news broke Saturday night, A-Rod told reporters at his Minor League start in Trenton (4 walks) that he was traveling to Chicago to play with the Yankees on Monday.
So whatever happens, A-Rod’s going out on his feet as A-Rod.
