Ramy Youssef Has a Hulu Show Coming Soon, and the Trailer is Coming Now

Ramy Youssef’s new Hulu series has a trailer! Ramy, created by Ramy (along with Ari Katcher and Ryan Welch), starring Ramy, is about another Ramy. Ramy Hassan is a first generation Egyptian-American who is on a spiritual journey in his politically-divided New Jersey neighborhood. Ramy (the series) promises to bring a new perspective to the screen as it explores the challenges of what it’s like being caught between a Muslim community that thinks life is a moral test and a millennial generation that thinks life has no consequences.

Along with Youssef, the series is executive produced by Jerrod Carmichael.

Youssef himself is a New York based stand up comedian on the rise, and he’s won the respect of peers at New York’s best clubs plus he made his late night debut on “The Late Show w/ Stephen Colbert.” That’s a huge accomplishment by itself, and he’s also got an start at an acting caree; he’s appeared on Nick at Nite’s “See Dad Run” and season three of “Mr. Robot.” He’s 27 and now adding his own series to that resume for a major streaming network? Gigantic.

The ten episode series will land on Hulu on April 19th. It’s currently previewing at SXSW.
