Prayer Vigil Monday For Ardie Fuqua

prayer-vigil-ardie-fuquaA prayer vigil has been organized for comedian Ardie Fuqua and is scheduled for Monday evening from 6 to 7 pm.

Ardie’s mom, Doris Fuqua told the Jersey Journal that the vigil is being sponsored by the Wegman Parkway Block Association. It will be held on Wegman Parkway between Ocean and Garfield avenues in Jersey City. For the prayer vigil, trees on the block will also be covered in green and black ribbons with green symbolizing “brain” and the black symbolizing “trauma,” according to Doris.

Ardie Fuqua was injured along with comedian Tracy Morgan and his assistant Jeff Millia last month in a six-vehicle crash on the turnpike. The accident took the life of comedian James McNair.

Doris said that Ardie is currently undergoing rehabilitation at a center in New Jersey for injuries including brain trauma and a broken leg. She said – “He’s improving every day. We still ask the public for their prayers, hoping everything will fall back into place.”
