Pete Holmes Plans After The Pete Holmes Show Ends

The Pete Holmes Show wasn’t picked up for another season by TBS, but the host sees nothing but opportunities now. What are Pete Holmes plans now?  He told Huffington Post, “In the weirdest sense of the word, it’s really a dream come true. I know I’m supposed to be moping around and feeling bad for myself. It’s nice to have this calling card and be able to open the door and see who wants to play.”

As for his immediate plans, Pete Holmes has a new hour of stand up that’s almost ready to go that he’s getting ready to record. He also has plenty of ideas. “We have ideas for things as far out as an animated show or a narrative show or some kind of scripted story thing. I’m interested in things that can kind of tell different types of stories, not necessarily the best bit.”

The Pete Holmes show has become loved by a core audience for his great guests, particularly his stand up comedian guests as well as strong bits like  the “Realistic” series that take a realistic look at famous cartoons and video games, New Material Seinfeld who is the worlds only puppet that visits a late night set to work on new material, and plenty of Street Fighter themed sketches.

The final episode of the Pete Holmes Show will air June 19th on TBS.
