Pete Davidson Calls Chevy Chase a Racist and a Putz

Last week Chevy Chase went viral after his comments to a Washington Post reporter about Saturday Night Live whirled around the internet. Chase really trashed the show calling it shit, and embarrassing and saying that it hasn’t been watchable since season two. Only former SNL castmember Taran Killam had chimed in so far, defending how difficult the show is to make, but more or less agreeing that the show has not lived up to those first two seasons in the 42 years since.

But yesterday on Howard Stern, Pete Davidson spoke up backing up his boss Lorne Michaels.

“He’s a fucking douchebag,” Davidson said. “Fuck Chevy Chase … He’s just a genuinely bad, racist person and I don’t like him. He’s a putz.”

Davidson kept going.

“What has he done since ’83? Nothing. He had a big career and then it stopped because everybody realized he’s a jerkoff. He should know more than anybody. It’s disrespectful to Lorne, too, a guy who gave you a career. No matter how big you get, you can’t forget what that guy did for you.”

But Pete might be the one who is a putz…for turning down the chance to have dinner with Jack Nicholson. After Lorne invited him to go out for dinner, Davidson said he knew he couldn’t add to the conversation at that “billion dollar table” and he’s such a big fan of Jack’s that he couldn’t live with Jack hating him.

But he wasn’t afraid to hang out with SNL guest musician and super celebrity Ariana Grande. Scroll down to the second video to hear Pete talking about how he met Ariana during a rough time in his career, and personal life.
