Paul F. Tompkins, Jay Johnston, Brian Posehn and More Are All “With Bob And David”
It’s official. Bob Odenkirk and David Cross are putting the band back together. The creators of comedy sketch favorite “Mr. Show with Bob and David” had announced that they’re are doing a new sketch series for Netflix called, “With Bob and David”. Now Netflix has announced that joining Odenkirk and Cross will be former “Mr. Show” writers and regulars Paul F. Tompkins, Jay Johnston, Brian Posehn, John Ennis, Mark Rivers and Dino Stamatopolis. Also joining the show according to Deadline is David Ferguson from “Comedy Bang! Bang!”. Missing from the equation appear to be other “Mr. Show” vets Jill Talley and Tom Kenny, both of whom are now known for their voice-over work.
Paul F. Tompkins tweeted last December about something new for the “Mr. Show” gang while posting a photo of the group together online. This is the first confirmation of everyone’s involvement. “With Bob and David” is going into production for Netflix. The streaming service hasn’t announced a release date yet, but said the new comedy series will be 4 episodes long plus an hour long making-of special. Odenkirk and Cross had previously announced that the new show will feature “all new characters, all new scenes and, most importantly, all new wigs.”
