Patton Oswalt’s Idea For “Unbreakable” 2 and 3

Patton Oswalt stopped by Screen Junkies to talk sequels for M. Night Shyamalan’s 2000 film “Unbreakable”. He talked to host Hal Rudnick about his obsession with the movie and how it deserves not just one, but two sequels to make it a full “Unbreakable” trilogy. “Deserves” may be too weak of a word for Patton Oswalt. He demands these sequels be made. And he also wants to see M. Night Shyamalan back behind the camera directing them.

Patton wants to explore more of the “Unbreakable” world featuring the characters played by Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson in the original. His plans are for there to be more “Unbreakable” heroes out in the world which Bruce Willis discovers and recruits, now that he understands his own role in the world. Then in “Unbreakable 3”, it would be the return of Jackson’s ultimate villain, Mr. Glass, but in a whole new way.

It’s seems like Patton’s put a ton of thought into this. Is anyone listening!?
