Patriots Offer Free Exchange For Kids’ Hernandez Jersey

The New England Patriots are looking to rid the organization of the alleged-murderer stain left by former tight end Aaron Hernandez. The organization will exchange any #81 Hernandez jersey that was purchased on the team’s website shop or stadium shop for a new jersey of another player for free. Though it is not explicitly stated the offer seems to be limited to youth jerseys according to the team’s press release below. Regardless, this is an unprecedented move by an NFL team with a player in trouble with the law. The exchange is available exclusively at the Patriots ProShop on July 6 and 7.
