With light comes shade.
Jim Florentine’s professional life has been on quite a roll lately. He has a hit television show on VH1 with That Metal Show starring with his good friends Ed Trunk and Don Jamieson. Then of course Jim crushed his role as the tragic hack comic on the Louie finale (and has been submitted for Emmy consideration), and he’s been killing on Inside Amy Schumer. Last summer Jim was featured on Ron Bennington’s Unmasked series, he’s a regular on Opie with Jim Norton and Howard Stern, and he’s also selling out his road gigs. Success is good until the unwanted attention shows up.
Back in April, TMZ reported on Florentine’s break up and now The New York Post is giving Florentine the celebrity attention with sordid details of his messy divorce. Hopefully this will all be material for a new Florentine special or at least a fun ball busting session on Opie Radio.
