Netflix Releases Wet Hot American Summer Prequel Pictures
Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp is Coming to Netflix on July 31 and everyone is excited. The original movie was released in 2001 and was set on the very last day of summer camp. The new eight episode run covers the first day at camp. Returning to Camp Firewood (or pre-turning to camp) are Janeane Garofalo, David Hyde Pierce, Michael Showalter, Marguerite Moreau, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon, Christopher Meloni, Elizabeth Banks, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler, Judah Friedlander, Zak Orth and A.D. Miles.
Michael Showalter co-wrote the series along with David Wain, who’s also directing it.
Chris Pine, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig and Jason Schwartzman will all have guest starring roles and Michaela Watkins, John Slattery, Josh Charles, Randall Park, Jayma Mays, Lake Bell, Paul Scheer, Rob Huebel and Richard Schiff will have guest appearances.
Netflix finally released some stills from the prequel, officially signaling the start of summer comedy.
