Neal Brennan Brings New Show to Cherry Lane Theater in NYC

From the creator of 3 Mics, comes a brand new show! Neal Brennan: Unacceptable heads to the Cherry Lane theater in NYC! The six week limited engagement begins August 25, with the show officially opening on September 9th.

What do you do with the pieces of yourself people don’t like? In this new theatrical stand-up show, Neal Brennan: Unacceptable, Brennan meticulously examines his own defects, attempting to understand his baffling inability to fit into a group and the alienation that comes along with it. Derek DelGaudio directs this follow up to Brennan’s acclaimed 2016 show.

The show, produced by Vanessa Lauren and Jake Friedman, with scenic design by Anna Louizos, lighting design by Adam Blumenthal, and sound design by Kevin Heard, premieres at the Cherry Lane Theatre on Wednesday, August 25th with the six-week run officially opening Thursday, September 9th.

Unacceptable marks Brennan’s second off-Broadway production. 3 Mics, opened to critical acclaim at The Lynn Redgrave Theater in 2016 and premiered as an hour special on Netflix in 2017.

Neal has found success in almost every creative vein in the comedy community. He has collaborated in multiple capacities with the industry’s top talent including Chris Rock, Ellen Degeneres, Seth Meyers, and Amy Schumer, to name a few. In front of the camera, he has appeared in a variety of comedy fan-favorite series including multiple correspondent pieces on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Trevor Noah and a total of four standup specials. He tours theatres nationally and internationally to sold out audiences packed with long-time dedicated fans.
