NBC Creating All Comedy Channel

NBC is preparing to have all its comedy shows in one convenient location. The Comcast Corporation owned NBCU is getting ready to launch a web video service later this year. According to the Wall Street Journal, the subscription service would be the online home to full episodes of NBC shows like “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon” and “Saturday Night Live”, plus the network’s sitcoms.
Down the road, the plan will include original comedy series exclusive to the subscription service. These are expected to be created by current NBC stars and comedians. WSJ says that when the service launches, the expected price will be between $2.50 to $3.50 per month.
NBC is also said to be considering other web video services that cater to different genres including family shows and horror series. Currently the comedy subscription plan is the only in the production.
