NBC 4 New York: Islanders Hoping For That Elusive Game 8

NBC 4 in New York, the affiliate carrying the NHL playoffs, is thrilled that the NY Islanders forced a game 7 against the Washington Capitals. Unfortunately, the station is thrilled for the wrong reason. According to their graphics, if the Islanders win Game 7 in DC on Monday, the team returns to Nassau Coliseum, which is being torn down, for a non-existent Game 8. The station is also hoping that this coming season the Giants make it to Day 2 of the Super Bowl.
