NASCAR Star: My Ex Is An Assassin
2004 NASCAR premier series champion Kurt Busch has been accused by ex-girlfriend Patricia Driscoll of domestic assault, and she is seeking an order of protection from him. The case is being investigated by Dover police (where the incident happened), but the protection order is being processed through family court. And Kurt’s testimony has been pretty interesting:
- Busch claims Driscoll is a hired assassin. After claiming to be a mercenary, she produced photographs of bodies with gunshot wounds. He said “I thought that was exciting.”
- When the two were in El Paso once, Busch said she left wearing camo and returned in a trench coat and blood-covered evening gown.
- Busch also testified Driscoll claimed to be a sniper who also uses close-combat skills with knives and poison. She’s routinely killed drug lords, and her work takes her across South America and Africa.
- Apparently, she claimed Jessica Chastain’s character in “Zero Dark Thirty” was based on her.
- “Everybody on the outside can tell me I’m crazy, but I lived on the inside and saw it firsthand.”
- When asked how he’d fare in a physical altercation with Driscoll: “I know that she could take me down at any moment, because she’s a bad-ass.”
Driscoll is officially involved with the military: she heads the Armed Forces Foundation (where the two met), and Frontline Defense Systems, which deals in military-grade equipment. But she claims the assassin story comes from an eight-year old movie script she had given Busch to proofread.
Either way, it sounds like we finally found a crazier NASCAR controversy than Jeremy Mayfield’s. And that story involved meth.
