New MTV2 Game Show Joking Off Stars Host DeRay Davis, Liza Treyger, Matteo Lane and More
MTV2 premieres its new comedy game show “Joking Off” on the perfect day, April 1st. The brand new comedy game show puts the improv skills of the some best young comedians working today to the test as they take on their fierce competitor, the Internet. The stand ups will work in teams of two to apply their comedy to contests involving memes, tweets, Instragram photos and videos as they try to top each other.
The competitors will need to use all of their comedy skills. Some of the challenges will involve a fake dating site, creating scenes from text conversations, or suppling the dialogue to viral animal videos, and a head-to-head prank call competition.
MTV2’s “Joking Off” is hosted by DeRay Davis (Barbershop, Reno 911!, The Boondocks) who said, “Everyone should watch ‘MTV2’s Joking Off’ because you need it in your life – you’ll be empty without it. It will fill your funny void. It’s like the sugar in your Kool-Aid.”
The series includes an amazing cast of comedy regulars including Liza Treyger, Matteo Lane, Dave Ebert, Desus & Mero, James Davis, Matt Pavich, James Manziello, Kristen Acimovich, and Mike Camerlengo.
Plus, during the season, the comedy game show will play host to special guests including Charlamagne, Timothy DeLaGhetto, Lil Duval, Jon Gabrus, Tanisha Long, Donnell Rawlings, Chris Distefano, Damien Lemon, Jordan Carlos, Monroe Martin, Shalyah Evans, Mike Winfield, Stephen Guarino, Awkwafina and Mac Lethal.
The Internet gets what it deserves with MTV2’s Joking Off premiering Wednesday, April 1st at 11pm et only on MTV2.
