Bride Misses Her Wedding, Thanks Southwest

Those awful Southwest flight cancellations this week stopped a bride from making it to her own wedding. Katie Demko was supposed to be married in Belize, but instead spent the morning crying, unable to get there after her flight got cancelled and she couldn’t find another way to get there.

What is more of a white trash travel plan? Southwest? Or Belize?

Office Space Style Heist Nets $300k

A software engineer stole $300,000 from a website using a scheme inspired by the movie Office Space. He used code to double charge clients for shipping, and sent the extra fees to his own account, and lowered prices for products which he then purchased. In his notes outlining his scheme he called it “OfficeSpace Project”

Too bad he didn’t see Oceans 11. There was real money in that one.

16 Candles Was Almost Even MORE Offensive

Even super fans of the movie 16 Candles acknowledge that there are a few lines in the movie that are uncomfortable now. But you can thank Paul Dooley for insisting that one of his character’s lines be cut. He played Sam’s dad and in his new book he talks about the moment that he refused to film. “Near the end of their talk, the script had the dad giving a friendly pat on his daughter’s behind while saying, ‘Where the heck are your panties?’”

If only Paul had been on set for that rich girl rape. And all the Long Duck Dong scenes.
