10m Stolen From Airplane Passengers

Two passengers checking in to an EMIRATES flight were robbed of a diamond encrusted Birkin bag, $5 million 47-carat diamond ring, a $822,000 Chanel brooch, a nearly $1million Bulgari watch, $548,000 earrings, and tens of thousands in cash.

This is that rare case where victim blaming is ok. Anyone traveling with that much can afford to lose it.

Zoom Sending Staff Back to the Office

For the first time since the pandemic, the corporation that brought us the Zoom meeting is requiring their workers to return to the office. All employees living within 50 miles of an office need to be in the building at least two days a week.

Ancient Dune Seaworm Discovered Named For Dune

A new ancient species of seaworm has been discovered. The fossilized creature was found in northern Utah and is believed to be 500 million years old. The new species is named Shaihuludia shurikeni. Its genus is inspired by the fictional “Shai-Hulud” worms on the spiceworld Arrakis in the “Dune” novels.

It was on the end of a 500 million year old hook.

“Friends, I want you all to know I appreciate your love for my family at this shattered time,” Lisa Cloud, the late actor’s mother, wrote in a social media post on Friday. “I also want you to know that although my son was in deep grief about his father’s untimely death from mesothelioma, his last day was a joyful one. He was reorganizing his room and placing items around the house with intent to stay a while in the home he loved. He spoke of his intent to help provide for his sisters at college, and also help his mom emotionally and financially.”
