Michael Keaton, Taraji P. Henson Host SNL In April

Saturday Night Live has announced two new shows for April featuring Academy Award nominees as hosts.
Best actor nominee for “Birdman” Michael Keaton will host SNL on Saturday, April 4th. This will be Keaton’s third time hosting. Saturday Night Live may have done its “Birdman” parody too soon this season. The show did the “Birdman” gimmick featuring Rudy Giuliani with Taran Killam as the former NYC mayor during the show with host Dakota Johnson. The April 4th episode may be a chance for Keaton to laugh off the heartbreaking moment at the Oscars this year when he was the favorite to win the Best Actor Academy Award and was seen on camera pocketing his acceptance speech after Eddie Redmayne’s name was announced as the winner. Keaton’s musical guest will be Carly Rae Jepsen.
A week later on Saturday, April 11th, Academy Award nominee Taraji P. Henson is hosting Saturday Night Live. Henson was nominated for 2008’s “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”. This will be her first time as an SNL host. Taraji P. Henson stars on the FOX drama, “Empire” which SNL has also already parodied when Chris Hemsworth hosted the show. Mumford & Sons are returning as musical guests for the second time on April 11th.
