Melissa McCarthy’s First Headshots Are Amazing.
Much to her dismay Melissa McCarthy had a unexpected surprise when she visited the Graham Norton Show this week. While sitting between Spy costar Jude Law and actor Chris Pratt, McCarthy was asked to recount the tale of her first ever headshots from when she was living in LA at the age of 26. She says “I had just moved to LA; I had only done theatre in New York for a very long time. I have had just got my first commercial agent… He told me I had to do character shots”
So after mulling it over, McCarthy finally decided on a character that she was performing at the world famous Groundlings Theater; a women who handed out cheese samples at grocery stores named Carol. “Who wouldn’t hire her?” she thought. The second headshot McCarthy took shows her wearing a weird tiny Western Barbie hat and little boots she turned into earrings. McCarthy thought she owned “The only two hard copies”, but luckily she was wrong. You can see video of both characters here.
