Before landing Chuck Todd as it’s host, NBC was in negotiations with Jon Stewart to take over the job and reportedly were willing to offer him “anything” to bring him over. Stewart ultimately declined the offer and the show has yet to move past third place in the ratings. Chuck Todd over Jon Stewart? That’s almost as bad as James Corden taking over for Craig Ferguson.
