Maya Rudolph Joins Tina Fey And Amy Poehler In The Nest

The new Tina Fey – Amy Poehler movie “The Nest” just got even better. Maya Rudolph has been added to cast.
According to Hollywood Reporter, Maya will play the childhood friend of Tina and Amy’s characters who go to clean out their childhood home after their parents sell the house. The two start to reminisce and decide to throw one last high school style house party in their parents’ home. James Brolin has been cast as their father.
The three SNL alums worked on Saturday Night Live together for 5 seasons, but have never appeared in a film together. “The Nest” is also an SNL reuion of another kind. It was written by long time Saturday Night Live writer, Paula Pell who was also a writer on last year’s Academy Awards. Tina Fey will produce the film and Amy Poehler is listed as executive producer.
The Nest will be out in December, 2015 and opens the same weekend as Star Wars 7. But then, it would take 3 of the funniest women in America to take on the Empire.
