Marcia Wallace who is best known as the voice of Bart Simpson’s teacher Edna Krabappel and playing Bob Newhart’s secretary, died at age 70. Simpsons producer Al Jean said – “I was tremendously saddened to learn this morning of the passing of the brilliant and gracious Marcia Wallace.” He added that Miss Krabappel will be retired and that her character wasn’t the one that the series intended on killing off this season.
