Lots of Pop Culture Eye Candy in New Childish Gambino Animated Video
Childish Gambino makes headlines again with a new animated video for his single “Feels Like Summer.”
The animated is full of all kinds of eye candy for celebrity gazers. If you watch the video you’ll find Jaden Smith and Chance the Rapper hanging out, Future stealing Drake’s bicycle, Will Smith washing his car, A$AP Rocky, Solange and the Weeknd in a tug of war, J. Cole watering the lawn, Azalea Banks just chilling, Nicki Minaj playing blocks with Travis Scott, 21 Savage and Metro Boomin smoking, and you’ll also spot Beyonce, Dr. Dre, Diddy, Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Jay-Z and Gucci Mane, XXXTentacion, SZA and Janelle Monáe, Birdman, Lil Yachty, Lil Pump, Lil Uzi Vert, Andre 3000, Big Boi, Rihanna, Whitney Houston, and a Tween-age Michael Jackson populating the streets along with Gambino himself. But the most talked about animated cameo is the shot of Michelle Obama hugging a crying, MAGA hat-wearing Kanye West.
Plenty of media outlets are trying to draw political conclusions about the various celebs doing different things, particularly debating the meaning of Michelle Obama comforting Kanye. We’ll just leave it up to you to decide the meaning behind each vignette.
