Last Comic Standing is down to the Final 5. One comedian is getting closer to claiming the quarter-million dollar prize including a developmental deal for a series on NBC.
As a bonus to the comics who have survived so far, LCS flies them away to a secret location (Las Vegas) to meet their final mentor of the season. Last Comic Standing executive producer Wanda Sykes introduces them to comedic legend and former Tonight Show host Jay Leno. The last 5 LCS contestants then get the incredible opportunity to pick Leno’s brain, ask him questions and get all the advice they can from the person LCS calls “the hardest working man in stand-up comedy.”
Then it’s up to the comedians. Nikki Carr, Rocky LaPorte, Lachlan Patterson, Rod Man and Joe Machi will all perform fresh new sets for the judges. From there, the LCS judges Russell Peters, Roseanne and Keenan Ivory Wayans will take contestants from the Final 5 to the Final 4. Those who survive will be headed towards the season finale on Thursday, August 14th.
