There was an unexpected appearance at the Judd Apatow and Friends event at Largo in L.A. this weekend. Kevin Hart surprised the audience which was there for a benefit to raise money for Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research. The night also included a musical performance by Fiona Apple with Jon Brion and stand up from Saturday Night Live’s Pete Davidson, who was in town for the Comedy Central Justin Bieber Roast, plus Apatow entertaining the crowd himself.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Kevin Hart performed for about 40 minutes, but that’s not all he contributed to the night. Judd Apatow asked him about donating to the night’s cause and threw out the number, $10,000. Kevin Hart replied with the one word answer “Done”. Apatow’s set included jokes about his favorite target, Bill Cosby. Apatow said, “I think Bill Cosby’s hell should be getting fucked by Bill Cosby every night”.

The Judd Apatow and Friends events are held on semi-regular basis at Largo to raise money for different charities. Apatow will be at SXSW on Sunday for the premiere screening of his film, “Trainwreck” written by and starring Amy Schumer.
