Ken Jeong’s First Joke He Ever Did Was Korean Johnny Carson

On Wednesday Ken Jeong was on Jimmy Kimmel Live. It was a huge night. He got to meet Don Rickels backstage, which is just crazy considering it wasn’t that long ago that Jeong was a full time practicing physician. Jeong called the journey surreal. Not all of his doctor colleagues actually thought he would make it, but he figured he could always go back to practicing medicine if things didn’t work out.

Now he has his own show on ABC, based on pre-Hangover movies Ken Jeong’s life, and in the Pilot episode, he performs the first joke he ever did on stage– Johnny Carson, in Korean, talking about John Wayne Bobbit.

He also performed the impression for Kimmel’s audience.
