Kathleen Madigan Announced A New Tour: Boxed Wine and Bigfoot

Last fall we reported that Kathleen Madigan was kicking off her Boxed Wine & Bigfoot tour. This week she announced the next leg of the tour with dates through December 2018. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, March 16th at 10:00 AM ET/PT and are available at www.KathleenMadigan.com.

Kathleen Madigan is one of our favorite stand ups in the game– she’s so smart, a killer writer, and she is brilliant at breaking down any component of modern society, and equally hilarious talking about her family, or her fascination (aka obsession) with modern mysteries.

The first six months of her “Boxed Wine & Bigfoot” show was a huge success, playing to sold out audiences during the Winter and Spring portion of the tour. Madigan said she’s excited to get back to a big tour after taking some time off. “I had most of the summer off, then this September toured all of Canada with Lewis Black. When I came home to this tour schedule I couldn’t have been more excited. It’s a lot of cities I know and a few that I haven’t been to which is the perfect mix.”

Now she’s bringing the popular standup to 20 new cities from coast to coast. Says Madigan, “I’m excited, I still love the road. I’m sure that sounds weird to some people but I really don’t know what would happen to my brain if I had to stay in one place for more than two weeks. These dates will insure none of us will find out for now.”

Madigan’s new album, “Bothering Jesus,” from the Netflix special of the same name, was released on 800 Pound Gorilla Records on February 9th and is the highest selling release of any comedy album since 2014. It debuted on the Billboard 200 Album Chart, on The Nielson SoundScan Comedy Charts at #1, on The Billboard Comedy Charts at #1, and has remained number #1 on ITunes and streaming services since the release. “Bothering Jesus” is Madigan’s sixth comedy album and third special currently available on Netflix.
