Judd Apatow Is Sad Cosby Is Not In Jail

Judd Apatow’s new film, “Trainwreck”, written by and starring Amy Schumer just premiered at the SXSW Film Festival. It was a major hit with the SXSW audience and the reviews afterwards. But even in the middle of a preparing for the Summer release of “Trainwreck”, Judd Apatow is not going to be distracted from something he’s passionate about. That’s speaking out for the women that have accused Bill Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting them.
Apatow is going to use any forum he deems necessary to keep the pressure on Cosby. He spoke about it at his “Judd Apatow and Friends” charity event last weekend at Largo in L.A. And he used his interview time with Amy Schumer to discuss it before their SXSW premiere. He told the joint press conference that he “would rather talk about Bill Cosby for 15 minutes”.
And when asked by the Huffington Post about whether he had considered doing a documentary film on Bill Cosby and the sexual assault accusations against him by over two dozen women, Judd said, “No. I’m just sad he’s not in jail. I think when people do things like that they should pay the consequences.”
Amy Schumer who was with Apatow for the press conference, had her own ideas about Cosby. She asked, “Can he at least just get community service? Just pick up litter for a day? If it gets to 100 women?”
“Trainwreck” from Judd Apatow and Amy Schumer opens nationwide on Friday, July 17th.
