Jon Stewart Talks About Future Host Trevor Noah

Finally, last night we got to hear what Jon Stewart thinks of Comedy Central’s choice of new Daily Show host, Trevor Noah. Jon says he’s very excited about it despite the big “kerfuffle” on twitter that’s come up, but he says “I can say this without hesitation. Trevor Noah will earn your trust and respect….or not.Just as I earned your trust and respect…or did not.”

But on a more serious note, Jon says that he thinks Noah is an “incredibly thoughtful and considerate and funny and smart individual” and promises that “you give him that time and it’s going to be well worth it.” Yes, he even says he’ll watch The Daily Show. For the first time in 17 years. Well….he’ll DVR it, and then watch it. But that’s what everyone else does anyway amiright? Is there live TV anymore?
