Jon Stewart Raves About Foxcatcher, But Tells Steve Carell, “You’re Not in This Movie!!”

Last night on The Daily Show, two comedians who have great dramatic movies out, sat down to tell each other how much they love each other’s work. Jon Stewart raved about Steve Carell’s performance in Foxcatcher. Actually rave is an insufficient phrase. He gushed, he praised, he raved. He didn’t even have enough words to properly rave about how great Steve Carell is in this movie. He says Carell’s performance is so good, that it’s not even acting, “it’s being” and swears, Carell isn’t in this movie. “I know you” Stewart said. “You’re not in this movie.” Stewart said the performance is so good, it would make Pacino quit acting, because Carell is so “acty.”

If Stewart’s praise of this performance isn’t enough to make you go see Foxcatcher, let’s face it you’re not going to see Foxcatcher.

They are reduced to a fawn-off, which you can watch below.
